Kings Eleven Punjab opener Mayank Agarwal scored a whirlwind 45-ball ton against Rajasthan Royals in Game 9 of the Indian Premier League Season 13 played at the Sharjah Cricket Ground in Sharjah on September 27.

Despite Mayank's fiery ton and skipper KL Rahul's quick fire half century, KXIP lost the game as Rajasthan Royals pulled off a record breaking 224 run chase to register a sensational 4-wicket win.

Mayank Agarwal's blazing century happened to be the second fastest ton by an Indian cricketer in IPL history .Agarwal who opened the batting with his skipper KL Rahul for KXIP stitched a record breaking opening stand of 183 runs against Rajasthan Royals.

The mammoth opening stand happened to be the highest ever opening partnership for Kings Eleven Punjab in this history of the league, surpassing the previous best efforts by Adam Gilchrist and Paul Valthaty's 136 versus the now-defunct Deccan Chargers (DC) in 2011.
