Delhi Capitals star opener Prithvi Shaw started the 13th season of the IPL with a bang with his bat. The DC opener was not bothered much by the lethal swing deliveries with the new white ball by star bowlers of other teams. In an IPL 2020 game, Shaw scored 64 runs off 43 balls against Chennai Super Kings. After this, against Kolkata on Sharjah ground, 66 runs came off 41 balls with Shaw's bat. Against Virat Kohli-led RCB, he also scored 42 runs off 23 balls. But since then, his continuous flop show has continued.
On Monday, Shaw was dismissed for just 9 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He was bowled by another young talent Mohammad Siraj. The poor form of Prithvi Shaw has increased the tension of Delhi Capitals, who have managed to qualify for the IPL 2020 playoffs. Seeing Shaw's bad batting form, Delhi Capitals might be forced to keep Prithvi Shaw out of the playing eleven when they face defending champions Mumbai Indians on Thursday.
Meanwhile, in an interview posted on Delhi Capitals official You Tube channel, Shaw revealed that to stay connected with his dad, he often speaks to him on phone. The sensational opener also revealed that he carries a small Lord Ganesh idol and his father's photo with himself all the time.
Shaw scored 198 runs in the first 6 innings with an average of 33, while his strike rate was more than 151. But after this, Shaw's non stop flop show continues as he has scored just 30 runs in the last 6 innings at an average of 5. Not only that, in his five outings for Delhi Capitals as an opener, Shaw failed to score even ten runs and twice he could not even open the account.
