It was a memorable knock for Shashank Singh, one that will be remembered for ages! Gujarat Titans posted a competitive score on a favorable batting surface. GT posted a good score on a batting-friendly pitch. Gill was their standout performer with an unbeaten 89, supported by quick innings from Sudharsan and Tewatia. For Punjab, Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed early by Umesh Yadav, but quick contributions from Bairstow and Prabhsimran kept the run-rate manageable. However, Noor's excellent bowling changed the game by quickly dismissing both of them. Curran failed to make an impact and was dismissed early.
Raza struggled to find his rhythm and got caught in the deep. Meanwhile, Shashank continued to play well from the other end, hitting some excellent shots to keep his team in the chase. Jitesh hit two consecutive sixes off Rashid but then got out to a full-toss soon after. Ashutosh Sharma came in and scored a quick 31 runs off 17 balls, supporting Shashank effectively. Mohit Sharma conceded 18 runs in the penultimate over. Nalkande dismissed Ashutosh with his first delivery, but there weren't many runs left to defend. Shashank stayed calm and guided his team to victory with just one ball to spare.

12 runs from the over as Shashank hits Rashid for a six on the last ball of the over. PBKS are 131-5 after 14 overs.
Mohit Sharma delivers to Raza, who is caught by Wriddhiman Saha! The delivery was a back of a length ball outside off, clocking at 130 kilometers per hour. Raza attempts to drive it through covers but the extra bounce causes the outside edge.

A good over for Umesh Yadav as he only concedes 6 runs in the over and gets rid of the dangerous Shikhar Dhawan. PBKS are 19-1 after 2 overs.
Wicket off the first ball of the second over in the 2nd innings. Umesh Yadav strikes with his very first ball of the day. Shikhar Dhawan attempted to cut the ball without much foot movement, perhaps deceived by the slower pace, resulting in him dragging it back onto the middle and leg stumps.
Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow are in the middle for Punjab Kings. Azmatullah Omarzai starts the bowling for Gujarat Titans. PBKS are 13-0 after 1 over.
Action-packed first half to this encounter. Gill surely played the defining innings but equally effective knocks from Sai Sudharsan who scored 33 off 19 and Rahul Tewatia. Arshdeep Singh and Harpreet Brar were the most economical bowlers for PBKS but picked up only 1 wicket between them, conceding 33 runs each off their 4 overs. Kagiso Rabada might have picked 2 but conceded 44. Harshal Patel (1/44) was the other wicket-taker for Punjab. Will 199 be enough on what looks like a great surface to bat on? We shall find out over the course of the next hour and a bit. STAY TUNED!
A Couple Of Boundaries From Tewatia To Finish It OFF!. FOUR, FOUR on the leg side off Arshdeep. Tewatia has played a gem of a cameo to ensure GT end at 199/4. PBKS need 200 to win off 120 balls. Tewatia remains unbeaten on 23* off 8 but the lead act this evening was done by their skipper Shubman Gill who finishes with 89 off 48.
Brilliant stuff fron the left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. Concedes only a single again off the fourth ball. GT- 191/4.
1 more run added to the total. GT- 190/4. 3 balls to go.
2,1 Off The First Two Balls. Gill off strike for the third. He is on 88 off 47. Tewatia on 14 off 5. GT- 189.
Arshdeep, 3 overs 0 for 20, will finish off for PBKS.
Superb commitment. A full-fledged dive off the last ball of the 19th over from the GT skipper who has been there from ball 1. 20 runs coming off the 19th over then. GT- 186/4 after 19 overs.
Harshal Patel To Bowl The Penultimate Over. Tough job and Tewatia has made an impact straight away. A six off a low full toss before going across and sweeping one a for a boundary on the leg side in the second half of the over. GT past 180. How many more can they add?
Rahul Tewatia New Man In For GT. Designated finisher, once again has a job to do.
It's a Shubman Gill special this evening. Back-to-back boundaries for the GT captain to begin the 18th over. First a six and then a four behind the bowler. Rabada makes amends by getting the better of Shankar who falls for 8 off 10 but GT manage 13 off the over. GT- 166/4 after 18 overs.
It's the captain who is putting his hand up this evening. He has done that again with a much-needed six off the fourth ball of the 17th over. GT manage to add 12 runs to their total in the 17th over. GT- 153/3 after 17 overs.
Arshdeep Singh Returns for an over. His third. He goes for 7. He has been economical this evening. 3 overs, 0 for 20 so far. GT- 141/3 after 16 overs.
Brar has bowled out. His 4 overs go for 33 this evening. Manages to scalp a wicket in them. GT- 134/3 after 15 overs. 11 runs coming off his fourth over.
First fifty of IPL 2024 for Gill. Gets to the landmark with a boundary off Brar and reaches there off 31 balls.
Vijay Shankar walks out to bat for GT.
And a wicket! It's Harshal Patel who strikes for PBKS. Shortish ball and Sudharsan ends up guiding it to the keeper. Got a feather on that one and starts to walk back. PBKS have a wicket. GT- 122/3 after 13.5 Overs. Sudharsan departs after a fine innings worth 33 off 19.
And it's Rabada who has been taken to the cleaners by these two. First a six down the ground off the willow of Gill who looks in sublime nick before Sudharsan clears mid off for a boundary. 14 off the over. GT-119/2 after 13 overs.
GT on the charge then. First 8 come off the 11th over with Sai Sudharsan finding the boundary off Curran before a boundary from Gill off Raza followed by back-to-back boundaries from the southpaw. 14 off the 12th over. GT- 105/2 after 12 overs.
Sikandar Raza into the attack. B Sai Sudharsan the new man in for GT and it is the youngster who managed to find the fence in that over. Consequently, GT get 10 off the over. GT- 83/2 after 10 overs.
And there's the wicket and it's Harpreet Brar who has produced it. It was a short and wide but Williamson cuts it straight to backward point. He had just scored a boundary off the previous ball but will have to go back now. GT- 69/2 after 8.3 overs.
Harshal Patel into the attack. A boundary coming off that over off the bat of Gill which allows GT to get 8 off the over. GT- 65/1 after 8 overs.
Brar returns. And concedes 5 off his second. A single by Gill and a couple of doubles by Williamson, the scoring shots in that over. GT- 57/1 after 7 overs.
Williamson manages to get two boundaries in the over. First off the edge alright but the second one showing all elegance through the cover region. Despite that wicket, GT will be happy with their performance in the powerplay. They end at 52/1 after 6 overs with Curran conceding 11 runs of his 1st over.
Sam Curran will finish off the powerplay for PBKS.
It's Williamson who fetches a boundary off the over. Classical shot, all class. Square driven through cover point for the boundary off Rabada. Two singles- the other addition to the total. GT- 41/1 after 5 overs.
Arshdeep did most things there in that over and even produdced the outside edge of Shubman Gill off the last ball. But it falls safely and the ball goes away for a boundary. That makes it 6 runs off the over. GT- 35/1 after 4 overs.
Williamson walks in at 4.
GT had got the two boundaries off the over with Gill and Saha scoring a boundary each. But Saha looks to hit one straight over mid on off the last ball, manages a leading edge that goes high in the air and is caught by Dhawan at mid-off. PBKS strike as Saha walks back for 11 off 13. GT- 30/1 after 3.3 overs.
So just the one over from Brar to begin with. Kagiso Rabada now has the ball in hand.
Four leg byes and a boundary off the bat of Saha after Arshdeep erred in his line and length, giving a half-volley on Saha's legs which he was happy to put away. At the end of the 2nd over, GT- 18/0.
And Saha suvives. A swinging delivery from Arshdeep that hit him on the pads was adjudged out LBW but the batter reviewed and as it turned out the ball would have gone on to miss the stumps on height. Good review from Saha.
It's pace from the other end for PBKS. Arshdeep Singh has the ball in hand.
Gill comes down the track and lifts it for a straight six that hits the boundary ropes on the full. Spoils what had otherwise been a great over. GT- 7/0 after the 1st over. First six of the evening then.
Wow, there's the start to match number 17 of IPL 2024. Brar to Saha. Spin to begin with for PBKS.
Out come the GT openers- Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha. PBKS' Harpreet Brar has the ball in hand.

Hello and welcome to our live coveage of the IPL 2024 match set to be played between GT and PBKS at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Another day and it promises to be another entertaining affair in this IPL.
Background
GT vs PBKS LIVE SCORE: Hello and welcome to ABP Live's live coverage of the IPL 2024 fixture set to be played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While GT have won 2 of their three matches, PBKS have a solitary win from their three games. Both of GT's win have come at their home turf which is where they take on PBKS, an opponent which has struggled away from home, losing both their matches while on tour.
That sets things up nicely for this fixture and hands a massive advantage to Shubman Gill-led GT who aim to complete a hat-trick of wins at the world's largest cricket stadium which they call their home. Having said that, Shikhar Dhawan's PBKS will be determined to turn their fourtunes around after two defeats in a row post their win in their season opener against DC in Mullanpur.
In what could be big blow to PBKS, there are doubts over the availability of Liam Livingstone which might force the team management to tamper with their Plan A for this fixture. Watch out for Gill, who not only has an incredible record at this venue but also against this opposition. The youngest captain of IPL 2024 has five half-centuries in 10 innings against PBKS.
GT edge PBKS as far as the head-to-head record is concerned, having won 2 matches to PBKS' 1 in their three face-offs but all of that will be a thing of the past when they lock horns in match number 17 of IPL 2024.
