The Delhi Capitals have reportedly issued a 'Code of Conduct' for its players days after an incident involving one of its players misbehaving with a woman at a franchise party. The code has apparently been provided to the cricketers for the maintenance of the public image of the franchise.

An Indian Express report has claimed that as per this code, players are not allowed to bring any of their acquaintances to their rooms post 10 pm. In addition, they have been informed that if they wish to allow their guests after the cut off time, it will be allowed only at the team hotel restaurant or coffee shop.

The norms were purportedly set in place after Delhi's win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Notably, spouses and partners of all the cricketers have been allowed to travel but the expenses are borne by the players. They can stay at the same room as the cricketers when the teams travel. However, if they want to bring anyone else in their room, they need to inform the side's integrity officer along with submitting a photo identification of the guest before that guest can be permitted.

Talking about Delhi's performance in IPL 2023, it hasn't gone as per the plan either and they find themselves at the bottom of the points table with just 2 wins from 7 matches, with both their wins coming after five back-to-back defeats.

Even SRH have 2 wins from 7 matches but their net run rate of -0.725 is slightly better than that of DC whose NRR stands at -0.961. David Warner has been amongst the runs for Delhi but his strike rate has been a matter of concern. Having said that, not many other batters have been able to support him which is the reason why Delhi are languishing at the rock bottom half way through the league stage.

They could still have a chance to proceed to the Playoffs but will need to continue the winning momentum in the second half.
