CSK vs KKR, IPL 2023 HIGHLIGHTS: Kolkata Beat Chennai By 6 Wickets
CSK vs KKR HIGHLIGHTS: Kolkata's win has taken them to 12 points but they can reach a maximum of 14 points with just one more match to go.
KKR have won. The stand between Rinku (54 off 43) and Rana (57* off 44), the highest fourth wicket partnership against CSK ever, was broken by Moeen Ali with the help of a run out but a bit too late for their liking. Eventually, KKR beat CSK by 6 wickets and 9 balls to spare.
KKR- 84/3 after 12 overs. Both Rinku Singh and Nitish Rana looking in great nick. 50 of the partnership has also come up. The two have taken the team to a position of control. They need 61 from 48 balls now with 7 wickets in hand.
KKR lose three wickets inside powerplay. All three to Chahar. Jason Roy was the third wicket to ball, caught at short third much like the second wicket. At the end of the powerplay, KKR are - 46/3. Rinku Singh and Nitish Rana out in the middle for KKR.
Not a good start for KKR in this run chase of 145. Chahar has struck twice inside the power. First Rahmanullah Gurbaz in the last ball of he first over and then Venkatesh Iyer in the third over of the innings. KKR- 21/2 in 2.5 Overs. Jason Roy and Nitish Rana out in the middle for KKR.
CSK end their innings at 144/6 which is their lowest total of the season. But there is plenty of assistance of spinners and they have a few quality spinners in their side and a master captain at the helm. Can they win or will KKR spoil their party? Let's find out with the second half resuming in a few minutes.
Just 5 off the 19th over. What an over from Shardul Thakur. CSK- 135/5.
CSK- 130/5 in 18 overs. Shivam Dube (43* off 29), Ravindra Jadeja (16* off 19). But it will be the seamers who will finish off for KKR on a pitch which has been a tricky one especially for strokemaking against spin.
Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja with some sixes that have given some momentum to CSK but they need to carry on and try and take Chennai past 150.
Two wickets in an over from Narine. He starts by getting rid of Rayudu off the first ball, ends the over with a win that comes back into the left-hander and rattles the stumps of Moeen Ali. CSK- 72/5 after 11 overs.
Moeen Ali and Shivam Dube out in the middle for CSK at this moment.
WICKET! And another one goes. This time Sunil Narine gets rid of Ambati Rayudu looking to go for the big one. CSK- 68/4 in 10.1 Overs.
3 wickets have fallen so far. 2 have been taken by Chakravarthy while the third fell to Shardul Thakur. Batters finding it hard to get going. CSK- 68/3 in 10 overs.

Hello and Welcome to our live coverage of the IPL 2023 match between CSK and KKR. The match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Toss and Team News in just a bit. STAY TUNED!
Background
Chennai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their final league game of the season at the MA Chidrambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday (May 14). Both the former champions find themselves on contrasting ends of the spectum this season.
While a win would seal a place in the final four of the competition for the Men in Yellow who are currently sitting at the second place on the table with 15 points from 12 matches, for KKR each of their two remaining games are must-win ones to have an outside chance of being in contention for the Playoffs.
This match though can be looked upon as the battle between two teams who have among the best spin attacks. However, it is the batting that has been the difference between the two teams. CSK's top order has done the bulk of the scoring for them while KKR's top-order has struggled to get the runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube have all had a great season so far and even Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni have played a few cameos heading into the business end of the competition.
The same cannot be said about KKR who have relied on their middle order for most of their runs. Rinku Singh has been a hero for Kolkata and so has been Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer. Jason Roy has just played 6 innings but has found a way to be among the top run-getters of the team which tells a story about the form of the other players.
Andre Russell and Sunil Narine have been trusted by the franchise but they would have expected more in return and if they fail to reach the Playoffs their future with the team could surely be a matter of discussion.
