The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday (April 21) announced dates and venues for playoffs and finals of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The playoffs and finals of IPL 2023 will be played from 23rd May to 28th May 2023 in Chennai and Ahmedabad, respectively. IPL 2023 Qualifier 1 will be played on May 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium followed by IPL 2023 Eliminator on May 24. IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 and IPL 2023 final will be played on May 26 and 28, respectively, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.  A total of 70 league matches are to be played in IPL 2023, out of which 28 matches have been played in the tournament so far.

In a release, the BCCI wrote: "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday announced the schedule of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 playoffs and final. The playoffs and final will be played from 23rd May to 28th May 2023 in Chennai and Ahmedabad. Qualifier 1 will be held on 23rd May at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium followed by the Eliminator on 24th May.


The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host Qualifier 2 and the TATA IPL final on 26th and 28th May respectively."


The league stage matches of IPL 2023 will end on 21st May. After this, IPL 2023 Playoffs will begin. In IPL 2023 Qualifier 1, a match will be played between the first and second placed teams in IPL 2023 Points Table, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 23.


After this, IPL 2023 Eliminator will be played between the third and fourth placed teams in IPL 2023 Points Table on May 24 in Chennai. In IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, a match will be played between the team that loses in Qualifier 1 and the team that wins IPL 2023 Eliminator. The final match of IPL 2023 will be played on 28th May at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
