Ambati Rayudu, who uploaded a video on his official Instagram handle mocking the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise after they were knocked out of the tournament by Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2024 Eliminator on Wednesday, posted yet another social media post. This time around, the message seems more like a damage-control act after his troll went viral a couple of days ago.
RCB, led by Faf du Plessis, faced a four-wicket defeat at the hands of RR. The Bengaluru-based franchise has not won a single trophy in the IPL history. Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ambati Rayudu, who has won six IPL trophies while plying his trade for Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL history took to X (formerly Twitter) sympathising with the RCB fans and expressed that the team's management and leadership should prioritise team success over individual milestones.
“My heart truly goes out to all the RCB supporters who have passionately supported the team over the years. If only the management and the leaders had the team’s interests ahead of individual milestones .. RCB would have won multiple titles. Just remember how many fantastic players have been let go. Force your management to bring players who will put the team’s interests first. A great new chapter can start from the mega auction,” Rayadu wrote.

Rayudu's Comment On RCB After CSK's Elimination
Earlier. RCB defeated the five-times champions CSK to enter the IPL 2024 playoffs and in doing so, they eliminated CSK from the playoffs race. Afterwards, while analysing the match on Star Sports, Rayudu made a sarcastic remark on RCB’s aggressive celebrations and mentioned that they were celebrating as if they had won the IPL.
This comment didn't sit well with many RCB fans, who began trolling the former CSK player on social media. After RCB’s loss to RR in the Eliminator, Rayudu added more fuel to the fans' frustration by posting an old video on Instagram of CSK players celebrating while gesturing five with their fingers. He captioned the video, “Sometimes a gentle reminder is required.”
