IPL Auction 2021: 292 Players To Go Under The Hammer On Feb 18 In Chennai

In January this year, all the teams submitted their list of retained and released players to the BCCI. RCB had released the maximum number of 10 players.

The list of players has come for the auction for IPL 2021. This time a total of 292 players will participate in the IPL 2021 auction. The IPL 2021 auction will begin on February 18 at 3 pm in Chennai.

This time there are 10 players in the list, who have kept their base price of 2 crores, which includes two players from India. IPL 2021 auction also includes players like Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell, while Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar has also registered his name for this year's IPL auction.

Many big names like Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Chris Morris will be included in IPL 2021 auction. Every franchise will be eyeing Steve Smith, who was released by the Rajasthan Royals team before the auction.

After releasing Smith, Sanju Samson was appointed the new captain of Rajasthan Royals. Another Aussie star player Aaron Finch was also released by his franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of auction.

Glenn Maxwell, who performed poorly for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020, is also going to appear in the auction this year. Maxwell had scored a lot of runs in both ODIs and T20s against India after his poor outing in last year's IPL.

In January this year, all the teams submitted their list of retained and released players to the BCCI. RCB had released the maximum number of 10 players, while Punjab had released 9 players.

Chennai Super Kings, who failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time last season, only released their 6 players and yet again showed confidence in their experienced players.
