Delhi Capitals trade Shardul Thakur: Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur, who is currently in New Zealand for three-match ODI series, will be seen playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as his former franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) traded him for uncapped Mumbai cricketer Aman Khan. Delhi Capitals (DC) had acquired Thakur for INR 10.75 crore in IPL 2022 Auction. He had an average outing while playing for Delhi in IPL 2022, bagging 15 wickets in 14 matches, including career-best figures of 4/36, but gave away almost 10 runs per over. With the bat, he scored 120 runs at a strike rate of 137.93 and average of 10.81.


Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had bought 25-year-old Aman Khan for INR 20 Lakh in IPL 2022 auction. He made his IPL debut last season.


"Shardul Thakur has been traded from Delhi Capitals to Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming TATA IPL 2023," the IPL organisers said in a statement.


"Emerging all-rounder Aman Khan has been traded to Delhi Capitals from Kolkata Knight Riders."






Thakur is the third player to be traded by KKR after getting the services of New Zealand's Lockie Ferguson and Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz from Titans in another all-cash deal.
