New Delhi: Team India's out-of-favor batter Ajinkya Rahane went nostalgic as he relieved his old memories by visiting the places where it all started for the senior player. Rahane visited his school, SV Joshi High School in Dombivli, with his daughter and wife Radhika.

As Rahane recalled his old memories, he posted a video of his recent visit to his school. In the video, the veteran said that his love for his school hasn't changed despite all changes made to the place.

“There’s something about visiting your roots that keeps you grounded. Was at Dombivli with my family and irrespective of how the place changes, it holds the same place in my heart!” Rahane captioned his post.

“I wanted to come here for many years and today it happened. I started cricket from this place, the school backed me. There are several changes now to the school but coming here felt special,” he told in the video.

Talking about Rahane's international career, he is currently struggling with his batting form. The 33-year-old was ignored by the BCCI selectors for the ongoing home Test series against Sri Lanka. In the Ranji Trophy, he did score a ton and a fifty but got out on zero twice.

The ex-India Test vice-captain will be seen playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Rahane has played 192 international matches for the national team across formats, scoring over 8000 international runs as well.
