New Delhi: Virat Kohli, after showing a glimpse of return to form in his previous match by scoring a fifty, is once again struggling with the bat. The ex-India skipper's battle with his poor form continues as he was dismissed for a golden duck, yet again, in the 54th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 being played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Virat Kohli got out on the very first ball of RCB's innings off Jagadeesha Suchith's delivery. This is Kohli's third consecutive golden duck of the season and second against Sunrisers Hyderabad. With this, Virat has become the first batsman for Royal Challengers Bangalore to be dismissed for a golden duck thrice in a season. Earlier, no RCB player got out on the first ball thrice in a season.

The disappointment on Kohli's face was visible as he was caught on camera inside the dressing room. RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar was seen consoling Kohli by having a chat with him and even hugged him as well.

Talking about Virat Kohli getting out for a Golden Duck in his entire IPL career, before IPL 2022, the RCB batter has been dismissed for a golden duck only three times in his IPL career.

The first time when Virat got out for a golden duck in his IPL career was by Ashish Nehra in 2008. This was followed by Sandeep Sharma in 2014 and then Nathan Coulter-Nile in 2017, who dismissed Kohli for a golden duck for the third time in his IPL career.

If we look at Virat Kohli's golden ducks in IPL 2022, Dushmanta Chamira got him out for the first time against Lucknow Super Giants. He was then dismissed by Hyderabad's Marco Jensen and today Kohli registered his third golden duck in IPL 2022 after getting dismissed by Hyderabad's spinner Jagdisha Suchit.

Virat Kohli is playing his 12th match in IPL 2022 and seven times he has been dismissed within the first 10 balls he faced. Kohli has so far scored only 216 runs for RCB this season.
