New Delhi: Indian cricket team's batting icon Sachin Tendulkar hailed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star bowler Harshal Patel for his bowling heroics against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The 'Master Blaster' called Patel one of the best bowlers in India at death and praised him for restricting Punjab Kings to 209 at a time when it seemed that they might easily post a 225-plus run target. Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 54 runs to keep their hopes of reaching the IPL 2022 playoffs alive.

"The only reason Punjab could score 209 and not more was because of Harshal Patel. His bowling is improving day by day and he is able to disguise his variations well. He is one of our leading bowlers in the country at the death. When batters are looking to accelerate, Harshal is a top bet," Tendulkar said on his YouTube channel while discussing RCB vs PBKS IPL 2022 match.

Against Punjab, Harshal bowled excellently in the last overs, taking four wickets for 34 runs in four overs, including the wicket of Liam Livingstone, who played a stormy inning of 70 runs in 42 balls. Bangalore restricted Punjab to the score of 209 for 9 wickets. However, Bangalore failed to chase down this target and had to face defeat by 54 runs.
