New Delhi: After a total of 69 games, the final four teams have been selected to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 playoffs. Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) were the first team to make it to IPL 2022 playoffs, followed by KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The third team that secured a playoff spot was Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the fourth and final team to make it to the top 4 was Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) after Mumbai's thumping win over Delhi yesterday. Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals to play Qualifier 1
IPL 2022 Qualifier 1 will be played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 24. The winning team will enter the final, while the losing team will get another chance. The losing team will play the Qualifier 2 on May 27 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore to play Eliminator
IPL 2022 Eliminator will be played between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 25th May. The winning team will advance to Qualifier 2 and will face the team that loses in Qualifier 1. The Eliminator between Lucknow and Bangalore will be played at the Eden Gardens.
IPL 2022 final will be held in Ahmedabad
The title clash between the teams that won Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 will take place on May 29, which we hope will give us a new champion team. Rajasthan Royals is the only team out of the four teams that reached the playoffs, which has won an IPL title before. Rajasthan won the inaugural IPL edition in 2008.
