New Delhi: All 10 Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises are gearing up for the upcoming mega-auction, slated to take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. At least 590 players will go under the hammer as the cricketing world will witness the bidding war getting unleashed.

Meanwhile, Indian cricket team's star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, has revealed the amount he expects to fetch in IPL 2022 mega auction.

31-year-old Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the most sought after players, taking part in the IPL 2022 mega auction. In fact, many were left stunned when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) did not retain him before the auction. Since IPL 2014, the experienced spinner has been an important part of RCB's bowling unit.

There's no doubt that Yuzvendra Chahal, a strong and proven T20 player now, will surely trigger a bidding war as multiple franchises will go after him in the IPL auction.

“It’s the first time where I feel I can go anywhere because there’s no Right to Match (RTM) card. The last time (2018), RTM was available and they (RCB) had told me clearly that they’ll buy me using RTM in the auction no matter what… But this time, seriously, as a professional player, I am ready to go to any team,” Chahal said during a conversation with R Ashwin on his YouTube show "DRS with Ash", CricTracker reported.

“Obviously, I want to go to RCB because I’ve been there for 8 years but it’s not like if I go somewhere else I’ll feel bad because everyone has to make a new team and it’s a major auction where there’s always purse constraints. Whichever team takes me, I’ll keep giving my 100%. It will take some time to adjust to a new franchise but that’s why we call ourselves professional players,” he added.

Chahal came up with a funny reply when asked about the money he is looking to bag in the IPL 15 auction.

“I don’t want to say that I want 15 crores or 17 crores, you know, 8 cr is enough for me!” said Chahal.
