New Delhi: The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is set to start on March 26th. The first match of the tournament is set to be played between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and runners-up Kolkata Knight Riders at Mumbai's iconic Wankhede Stadium.
Less than 20 days are left for IPL 2022 to start. Both CSK and KKR have started their preparations for the season opener. Chennai is currently practicing at the Lala Bhai Contractor Stadium in Surat under the leadership of skipper MS Dhoni.
Meanwhile, CSK posted a video on Instagram, in which MS Dhoni can be seen hitting long sixes. In the viral video, Chennai captain is seen hitting a huge one-handed six during the practice session.
According to reports, Chennai is practicing in Surat because the soil here is similar to the soil of the ground in Mumbai where the yellow army will play its league matches.
The league stage matches of IPL 2022 will be played at four stadiums – Wankhede Stadium and Cricket Club of India in Mumbai, DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, and Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
