New Delhi: Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav Monday has been ruled out of the remainder of TATA IPL 2022 owing to a left forearm muscle injury. Suryakumar played 8 matches for Mumbai Indians in the current season and scored 303 runs with the help of 3 half-centuries. During this his strike rate was 145.67 and the average was 43.29. However, the season was not good for Mumbai and got its first win after losing 8 matches in a row.
"Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav has been ruled out of the IPL 2022 owing to a left forearm muscle injury. Yadav sustained the injury during the team’s fixture against Gujarat Titans on 6th May, 2022,” IPL said in a statement on Monday.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians has also released an official statement about the ruling out of right-handed versatile batsman from the league.
"Suryakumar Yadav has sustained a muscle strain on the left fore arm, and has been ruled out for the season. He has been advised rest, in consultation with the BCCI medical team"
According to a statement issued by Mumbai Indians, 31-year-old Suryakumar suffered a strain in his left arm and has been advised rest. The medical team of BCCI is keeping an eye on him. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma also told about Suryakumar's injury after winning the toss against Kolkata. Rohit said that Suryakumar is injured and Ramandeep Singh got a chance in his place in the playing XI.
