New Delhi: Senior opener Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets in a low-scoring match on Thursday. Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was bundled up for 97 runs in just 16 overs. Chasing a paltry total, things got a bit scary for the five-time IPL winners as they lost four wickets for just 33 runs. Young MI middle-order batters Hrithik Shokeen and Tilak Verma shared a crucial 48-run stand for the fifth wicket to give their team a win and end CSK's hopes of making it to the IPL 2022 playoffs.

Meanwhile, ex-India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, regarded as one of the wittiest sports personalities in Indian cricket, engaged in a hilarious banter with CSK's former player Suresh Raina, who was ignored by the defending champions in this year's IPL mega auction.
A video went viral on social media in which Yuvraj can be seen roasting his former teammate Suresh Raina. In the viral video, Yuvraj Singh asks Suresh about 'his team' getting restricted to just 97 runs, to which Raina replies by saying "Main nahi tha uss match mein (I wasn't playing in the match)."
Chennai Super Kings' legend Suresh Raina, popularly known as Mr IPL, is CSK's all-time highest run-scorer. He was also a part of the leader group and used to lead the team in veteran MS Dhoni's absence. The franchise decided to not retain him ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction.
