New Delhi: The first match of the 15th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders today at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. Good news has come for CSK as their injured star pacer Deepak Chahar has started practicing in the nets.

Chahar won't be able to play a few initial matches for CSK in this year's IPL. Chennai Super Kings had acquired Chahar in the IPL 2022 mega auction for jaw-dropping INR 14 crores, but before the start of the T20 league, unfortunately, he got injured. He then started his rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.
