Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat has created history against Rajasthan Royals in the 16th match of IPL 2021. The star player became the first batsman to score 6000 runs in IPL. He achieved this feat in the 188th innings of his IPL career.
Kohli completed his 6000 runs in the IPL by scoring a half-century against the Rajasthan Royals. He made this record after hitting Chris Morris for a four. Prior to this match, Kohli had 5,946 runs in his name. As soon as he reached the score of 54 runs against RR, he attained this milestone.

Virat Kohli has now scored 6021 runs in 196 matches at an average of 38.35 and a strike rate of 130.69 in the IPL. Kohli's highest score in IPL is 113 runs. He has so far scored five centuries and 40 half-centuries in the tournament.
Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday defeated Rajasthan Royals by 10 wickets. Batting first, Rajasthan had scored 177 for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Padikall scored an unbeaten 101 off 52 balls with 11 fours and six sixes. This is his first century in the IPL. With this, he has become the third uncapped player to score a century in the IPL.
Virat Kohli scored 72 runs in 47 balls. During his innings, he hit six fours and three sixes. Skipper Kohli also completed his 6000 runs in IPL. He has become the first batsman to do so in the the history of tournament.
