New Delhi: The 35th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings on Friday. A sensational all-round performance from Chennai helped them get a clinical 6-wicket win over Bangalore at Sharjah and move to the top in IPL 2021 Points Table. CSK registered their second consecutive win in the UAE leg of IPL 2021 Phase 2 by defeating Bangalore. RCB managed to retain 3rd position with 5 wins in 9 matches.

Despite brilliant innings of Virat Kohli (53) and Devdutt Padikkal (70), Bangalore got choked in the second half of their innings and could manage only 156/6 on a batting-friendly track. In reply, Chennai achieved the target in just 18.1 overs, quite a walk in the park.

After defeat against Chennai, captain Kohli looked extremely hurt by the performance of his teammates as he vented out his anger in the dressing room. RCB has posted a video on its Twitter, in which captain Kohli and coach Mike Hesson are interacting with the players of the team after the match.

Virat Kohli told the players of the team, “Today, we should be hurt, really hurt with this defeat. We talk about finishing on top, then this is not the way we should play”, said a livid Kohli in the video released by RCB.

RCB's director of cricket and coach Mike Hesson said that the team should have scored at least 20 more runs. He said that the team has to improve the finishing.

The coach said, "A score of 170 runs on this pitch would have been a very good score.  Everyone noticed that the ball was hardly coming on the bat. We scored only 66 runs in the last 10 overs. We should have scored 15-20 more runs. I don't think it was a 185 wicket but we wanted a few more scores. I am very disappointed."
