Kolkata have entered the top 4 in the IPL 14 Points Table after beating defending champions Mumbai Indians. KKR registered a resounding win over Mumbai Indians in Thursday's match. This was KKR's fourth win in all total 9 matches. KKR have moved up to fourth place in the points table with a net run rate of 8 points and +0.363. Mumbai Indians have also won four off their 9 matches but are sixth with a net run rate of -0.310.


The Delhi Capitals are currently placed at top spot with 14 points. Dhoni's CSK remains at the second spot. CSK have managed to win 6 out of 8 matches and have 12 points. RCB is third in the points table with 10 points. Rajasthan Royals are in the fifth position with 8 points and have a better net run rate as compared to Mumbai. Punjab Kings and Sunrisers are ranked seventh-eighth as earlier.




No change in IPL 2021 orange-purple cap


The position of the orange and purple caps has not changed after Thursday's match. Shikhar Dhawan remains Orange cap holder with 421 runs. KL Rahul, who scored 380 runs, remains second. Mayank Agarwal is firmly at number three with 327 runs. 


RCB pacer Harshal Patel took 17 wickets in 8 matches. Harshal Patel has retained his position of the Purple Cap. Avesh Khan is second with 14 wickets, while Chris Morris is also stuck at number three with 14 wickets.
