New Delhi: Legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings clinched their fourth IPL title by beating Kolkata Knight Riders by 27-runs in IPL 2021 Final on Friday at Dubai International Cricket stadium.

24-year-old Ruturaj Gaikwad finished the season with 635 runs - one hundred and four fifties - to become the youngest batter to win the prestigious Orange Cap. Gaikwad also became the 2nd youngest batter after Robin Uthappa in 2014 to win Orange Cap and at the same time be part of the IPL trophy winning team as well.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings, via its official Twitter handle posted video of Ruturaj Gaikwad receiving a traditional welcome from his mother upon returning home in Pune from Dubai.

"Mersal Arasan Home," CSK captioned the post on twitter.

"It is top of the moon feeling to win the orange cap and win the IPL. It is very very satisfying to win the IPL. It feels great. We didn't have a great season," Ruturaj Gaikwad said in the post-match ceremony.

"Coming here, everyone believed and we are here. When you are performing well, you are confident on your lesser risk shots. You need to make sure you are there till the end," the young CSK opener added.

Talking about the summit clash, batting first Faf du Plessis' heroic 59-ball 86 run knock powered CSK to a mammoth 192/3 against KKR. In reply, apart from the 91-run opening partnership between Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer, rest of KKR batsman, including skipper Eoin Morgan, flopped.

Chennai never let Kolkata gain momentum. The required run-rate kept on increasing, wickets kept falling and ultimately CSK gained an emphatic 27-run win over Kolkata to secure a 4th IPL trophy.
