IPL 2021: The second phase of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is set to begin from September 19. Ahead of the resumption of the much-awaited tournament, RCB captain Virat Kohli completed his quarantine period. RCB informed that captain Virat Kohli has participated in a practice session with the team on Friday. De Villiers looked emotional when he met Kohli.

Virat Kohli had to complete a six-day quarantine after returning from England. RCB Captain Kohli and pacer Mohammad Siraj arrived in the UAE on September 12 in a chartered flight from London for the second leg of IPL 2021. RCB posted a three-minute video and tweeted, "Kohli joins RCB team after completing Quarantine. Happy to be in the team camp as Kohli, Siraj and some of our foreign players join the first nets season."

The video shows Kohli and some other players who have completed their quarantine periods at the training ground with their respective kit bags where they were welcomed by players and coaching staff, including AB de Villiers. Siraj said in the video, "All the batsmen seem to be in good form. It is good for the team that Glenn Maxwell, Kohli and de Villiers are all in good form."

Mike Hesson, Director of Cricket Operations, RCB, said, "It is always better to be face-to-face with the captain than to discuss strategy from afar. The six-day quarantine has given Kohli a chance to refresh. We are now working to ensure that we're all on the same page."

The first part of IPL 14 had been quite good for Virat Kohli's team. By winning five out of seven matches, RCB remains in the top three of the points table. RCB would be playing their first match in the second leg of IPL against Kolkata Knight Riders in Dubai on September 20.
