New Delhi: Sensational spells from Mohammed Shami (14 runs for 2 wickets) and Ravi Bishnoi (24 runs for 3 wickets) helped Punjab Kings defend lowest total in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) at Sharjah and defeat an already depleted Sunrisers Hyderabad by five runs in a match that had gone down to the wire. 126 wasn't the biggest of targets to chase, and that too at a small ground like Sharjah but Punjab bowlers came up with some sensational stuff to bundle up Hyderabad for 120/7.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and invited Punjab to bat first. Hyderabad bowlers came up with a brilliant bowling performance to restrict Punjab Kings to just 125 runs for loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Jason Holder was the pick of Hyderabad bowlers as he bagged three wickets for just 19 runs in 4 overs.

For Punjab, Aiden Markram and Lokesh Rahul contributed with 27 and 21 runs respectively while Chris Gayle could score just 14 runs. For Hyderabad, Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan and Abdul Samad bagged 1 wicket apiece.
