Indian cricket team's young paceman Prasidh Krishna, who has been picked by the BCCI as a standby player for the five-match Test series against England and upcoming ICC World Test Championship final, has tested positive for Covid-19.
After Tim Siefert, Varun Chakaravarthy and Sandeep Warrier, Prasidh Krishna has become the fourth player from Kolkata Knight Riders camp to test positive for the dreaded virus.

Speaking to ANI, sources in the know of developments confirmed that the pacer has tested COVID-19 positive. "He is down with COVID-19. The results have come in and he tested positive," the source said.
KKR wicket-keeper batsman and Kiwi player Tim Seifert tested Covid-19 positive on Saturday. Seifert will now remain in India for the time being after being infected with Covid-19.
He was scheduled to fly back to New Zealand in a charter flight with other New Zealand contingent members. Seifert is currently isolated in Ahmedabad, but soon he will move to Chennai, where he will get treated in a private hospital.
"Seifert, who represented the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, failed both his pre-departure PCR tests and as a result will be taken into quarantine. Immediate advice is that he is experiencing moderate symptoms," the NZC statement said.
NZC chief executive David White said that he is confident Seifert will receive the best medical care in India.
“It’s really unfortunate for Tim and we’ll do everything for him that we can from this end, and hopefully he will be able to test negative, and be cleared and approved for discharge as soon as he’s well again," he said.
