New Delhi: Sensational bowling spells from Jasprit Bumrah and Kieron Pollard helped Mumbai Indians restrict Punjab Kings to a paltry 135/6 in the 42nd match of IPL 2021 Phase 2 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited Delhi to bat first. Aiden Markram scored the maximum 42 runs for Punjab. Apart from him, Deepak Hooda scored 28, captain KL Rahul 21, Mandeep Singh 15 and Chris Gayle got out for just one.

Kieron Pollard has set a new record in T20 cricket as soon as he picked wickets of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul. The Caribbean all-rounder has now become the first cricketer in the world to score more than 10,000 runs and take 300 wickets in T20I cricket.

Pollard achieved this feat while playing his 565th match in T20 cricket. He also has more than 11 thousand runs to his name in the shortest format of the game. The senior all-rounder has reached a milestone that no player has been able to reach before, after dismissing Chris Gayle and later KL Rahul in the important match of the IPL against Punjab Kings.

Kieron Pollard plays in franchise T20 league in almost every country of the world. Apart from playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL, he has played for teams like Adelaide Strikers in Australia, Melbourne Renegades, Barbados Tridents in West Indies, Cape Cobras in South Africa, Dhaka Dynamites in Bangladesh, Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings in Pakistan.

This year, Pollard will also be seen playing the responsibility of captaining the West Indies in the T20 World Cup to be held in the Arab Emirates and Oman.
