The Coronavirus situation in India is getting grim with the nation reeling with increasing Covid-19 cases. The catastrophic Corona crisis is deepening in India with consistent sharp rise in daily infections.


India on Saturday reported 401,078 new coronavirus cases, most new cases by any nation across the world in a single day, to take its total caseload to 21,892,676. India is second among the most affected countries by confirmed infections.

IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings have arranged the delivery of 450 oxygen concentrators for the affected patients in Tamil Nadu. Bhoomika Trust, an NGO involved in COVID-19 relief operations, is helping CSK in extending support to the people of Tamil Nadu in their fight against COVID-19.


Chennai Super Kings Cricket Ltd (CSKCL) Director R Srinivasan, on Saturday, handed over an Oxygen concentrator to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, in the presence of TNCA president Rupa Gurunath, PTI reported.


Through their social media platforms and players, CSK has been spreading relevant information and awareness through the "Mask Podu" (Wear Mask) campaign and gave a message to people to be vigilant against the Covid-19 epidemic.


"The people of Chennai and Tamil Nadu form the very heartbeat of the Super Kings and we want them to know that we are all together in this fight against the pandemic," CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said.
