1. Chris Gayle: West Indies batting legend and self-proclaimed 'Universe Boss' Chris Gayle, who played in many T20 leagues around the world, holds the record for the highest score in the IPL.  Gayle played an unbeaten 175-run knock against Pune Warriors in 2013, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He had then hit 13 fours and 17 sixes off just 66 balls i.e 102 runs only from sixes.  Gayle, who was adjudged the man of the match, had then played this knock with a jaw-dropping strike rate of over 265.


2. Brendon Mccullum: Former New Zealand star player Brendon Mccullum has played the second biggest innings in the history of IPL.  He scored an unbeaten 158 in the first-ever IPL match that took place in Bengaluru.  He was then wicketkeeping for the Kolkata Knight Riders, under Sourav Ganguly's leadership.  McCullum hammered 10 fours, 13 sixes in his unbeaten innings of 73 balls that helped KKR score 222 for 3 wickets. McCullum played 109 matches in his IPL career and scored a total of 2880 runs.


3. AB de Villiers: When AB de Villiers is in form, he does not spare any bowler. The legendary RCB batter is at number three in this list. He showed his class in the 2015 season when he scored an unbeaten 133 against Mumbai Indians. AB in his unbeaten innings of 59 balls, then hit 19 fours, 4 sixes. RCB scored 235 for one wicket in 20 overs and Mumbai team could score 196 runs for 7 wickets.


4. KL Rahul: Punjab Kings captain Lokesh Rahul (KL Rahul) played the biggest innings of his IPL career in IPL 2020.  He scored an unbeaten 132 runs in the opening match against RCB in Dubai.  Rahul smashed 14 fours and 7 sixes in his stormy innings of 69 balls, with a strike rate of more than 191.  Punjab scored 06 for 3 wickets and restricted RCB on 109 runs.


5. Rishabh Pant: Rishabh Pant, who is ready to take the captaincy of Delhi Capitals for IPL 2021, is at number 5 in this list. Pant, who has so far played 68 matches in the IPL, has scored an unbeaten highest score of 128 runs in the league, which he made against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the year 2018 while playing for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals).  Pant played this magnificent innings with the help of 15 fours and 7 sixes off just 63 balls.  Delhi scored 187 for 5, but Sunrisers Hyderabad (191/1) won the match by 9 wickets with just seven balls to spare.
