India vs Sri Lanka ODIs: Former India captain Virat Kohli, one of the modern greats in the sport, has been on a break ever since the India-Bangladesh Test series got over, last year. The senior batter is yet to play his first international match in 2023. Virat will return to action with the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the batting stalwart shared some cryptic stories on Instagram, leaving his fans worried. He shared a quote by late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan and a video featuring Hollywood actor Tom Hanks.
"Wanting fame is a disease and one day I will want to be free from this disease, from this desire. Where fame doesn't matter. Where just experiencing life and being okay is enough," Kohli shared on his Instagram story quoting Irrfan.
"I wish I had known 'this too shall pass'. You feel bad right now? You feel pissed off? You feel angry? This too shall pass. You feel great. You feel like, you know all the answers. You feel like everybody finally gets you," Tom Hanks could be heard saying in the video shared by Kohli.
The upcoming ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will start from 10th January. Apart from Virat, big guns like KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma will too return to the national team.
Recently, a video went viral on social media in which Virat and his wife Anushka were seen sitting on the floor with folded hands in front of a priest. The video was reportedly recorded during Virat's visit to an Ashram in Vrindavan, along with Anushka and his daughter Vamika.
