India vs Sri Lanka 3rd ODI: Visiting team Sri Lanka suffered a massive blow during IND vs SL 3rd ODI in Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday, after their two players brutally collided with each other while trying to save a boundary at deep square-leg fence. Sri Lankan players Jeffrey Vandersay and Ashen Bandara collided as they both attempted to stop a boundary off Virat Kohli's bat on the fifth ball of the 43rd over.

Soon after the ugly collision, Jeffrey and Ashen were surrounded by players and Sri Lankan medical team for several minutes, before being eventually stretchered off the playing field. Sri Lanka cricket is yet to give an official update on their players health, whether they sustained any serious injuries or not.






When Sri Lankan players were taken off the field, Virat Kohli was spotted asking Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka if all was well.






The third and final match of the three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka is being played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. India opted to bat first after winning the toss and scored 390 runs for loss of 5 wickets.


Virat Kohli was the pick of Indian batters, scoring an unbeaten 166 for India. Apart from him, Shubman Gill (116 runs) too notched up a century. Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten after scoring 38 runs. For Sri Lanka, Rajitha and Lahiru bagged 2 wickets each, while Karunaratne bagged a single wicket.
