New Delhi: A magical spell from Mohammed Shami (5/44) helped team India take a massive lead against the mighty Proteas in Centurion on Tuesday. Jasprit Bumrah (2/16) suffered an ankle injury very early in the match after which he had to be replaced by Shreyas Iyer but senior speedster Shami led India's bowling attack from the front to ensure Bumrah's absence wasn't felt too much.

Shardul (2/51) and Siraj (1/45) supported Shami well with some great bowling performances to bowl out South Africa for just 197 runs at Stumps on Day 3 of Ind vs SA 1st Test.

In reply, the hosts got an early breakthrough in form of Mayank Agarwal (4) but India still were in a strong position with a 130-run lead with in-form KL Rahul and nightwatchman Shardul standing on the crease to start the proceedings on day 4.

Earlier on Day 2, play was called off without a single ball being bowled due to persistent rain in Centurion on Monday.

KL Rahul's ton and marvelous fifty from Mayank Agarwal had powered India to 271/3 at Stumps on day 1.

The three-match Test series started on December 26. Virat and Co. are aiming for a first-ever Test series win in South Africa.
