New Delhi: The much-awaited mouth-watering clash between India and Pakistan is set to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium from 7:30 pm IST today as Virat Kohli & Co. will aim to kick-off their Super 12 campaign in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup with a historic win. Ahead of the high-voltage clash, cricket loving fans of both the nations sparked a debate on social media over which team will emerge victorious tonight.
Former cricketers of India and Pakistan, fans are backing their respective nations ahead of the big game and now food delivery apps of both the nations have jumped in this battle. A Twitter war broke out between Zomato and Careem Pakistan on Sunday.
It all started with Careem Pakistan's tweet regarding Ind vs Pak match as they wrote, "Muft khaney ka mauka bhi aur jeetne ka mauka bhi (A chance to eat free and also a chance to win). Order food on Pakistan vs India match day till 9 PM & if and if Pakistan wins against India, we will refund your order amount."
After this, Zomato wrote on Twitter,'Dear @TheRealPCB, In case you're looking for burger or pizze tonight, we're just a DM away."
After India defeated Pakistan in the 2019 World Cup, video of a Pakistani fan Momim Saqib, venting out his frustration over Pakistani players' carelessness regarding their fitness and diet, had gone viral. In the viral video, Momim was heard saying, "I got to know that a day before the match, Pakistan players ate burger and pizza a day before the match."
In reply to Zomato's tweet, Careem didn't miss out on the opportunity to hit back at them.
