Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ramiz Raja has been making some explosive statements ever since BCCI secretary Jay Shah said the Men in Blue won’t be touring Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023. In reply, Raja reiterated Pakistan will boycott the 2023 ODI World Cup in India.

Now, in a fresh dig at the BCCI, Ramiz Raja said that the reason why International Council of Cricket (ICC) didn’t intervene in their matter is because India produces the entire wealth for the apex cricketing board. However, the PCB chairman also said he wants the two arch-rivals to play bilateral cricket against each other again.

“They are circumspect and not forthcoming because India produces the entire ICC wealth, and so their position, unfortunately, is compromised as a result, I don’t think it’s going to change unless we have a resolve and commitment in every cricket board and our cricket fraternity works towards making it happen,” Ramiz Raja was quoted as saying by the National.“Of course we need to play each other. Who wouldn’t want to watch India versus Pakistan? There shouldn’t be an excuse for Pakistan not playing in India or India not playing in Pakistan,” Ramiz added.

The Men in Blue haven't toured Pakistan for any international series since 2008 Asia Cup. Since 2013, Pakistan and India have not played anywhere other than an ICC tournament due to tense political relations between the two nations. Earlier this year in October, tensions between PCB and BCCI reached their boiling point after BCCI secretary Jay Shah said that India won't travel to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023 and demanded a change in venue for a neutral host.
