New Delhi: Former India skipper Virat Kohli is known to be one of the few players in international cricket who can go to extreme lengths to ensure the young players are not under pressure and feeling comfortable. An incident took place on the second day of India's ongoing four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire at Grace Road which proved how particular Kohli is when it comes to taking care of young players.
A livid Virat Kohli confronted a fan in stands for reportedly bothering youngster Kamlesh Nagarkoti on Day 2 of India's warm-up game against Leicestershire. The video of the incident went viral on social media. Kohli, who was present inside the dressing room, walked out to the balcony to have a word with the fan who was reportedly bothering Nagarkoti for a photo. The conversation between Kohli and fans was in Hindi.
"I've been continuously asking for a photo. I came here after taking the day off from my office. So, I've been calling Nagarkoti to click a photo with me at least," the fan could be heard telling Kohli who replied saying, "He is here to play the match, and not to click photos."
Nagarkoti is one of the four bowlers alongside Navdeep Saini, R Sai Kishore, and Simranjeet Singh who travelled to England as India's net-bowler.
India is currently touring England for a ODI and T20 series after a one-off Test match. A warm-up match is being played before the only Test which will be played at Edgbaston from July 1.
