New Delhi: The second match of the three-match T20 series between India and England will be played on Friday, June 9 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The match will start at 7 pm Indian standard time. India defeated England to win the first match of the series by 50 runs, so Rohit Sharma & Co. would be eyeing to win the second match and seal the series with a win. On the other hand, hosts England will try their best to win the 2nd T20I to level the series 1-1.

In the second match of the T20 series, all eyes will be on Virat Kohli, England's ODI, and T20 captain Jos Buttler, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik, and Liam Livingstone.

Virat Kohli

The former Indian captain is going through a bad phase these days. He left the T20 captaincy after the T20 World Cup, but failed to improve his form. When Kohli comes out to play 2nd T20I, he will return to T20 cricket after 5 months. The star batter played his last T20 International match in February. Virat's performance in IPL 2022 was also disappointing. He scored 341 runs in 16 matches at an average of 22.73 and a strike rate of 115.98.

Jos Buttler

After Eoin Morgan's retirement, Jos Buttler has been given command of the English team (ODI-T20Is). In his very first T20 match as captain, he got out on a golden duck. Now in the second T20, the fans will expect big innings from  Buttler.

Rohit Sharma

Senior opener Rohit Sharma gave a quick start to his team in the first T20 but he failed to convert a good start into big innings. Rohit scored 24 runs in 14 balls. Now in the second T20, Rohit would like to play a big inning.

Dinesh Karthik

After being off to a good start in the first T20, the Indian team got into trouble after losing quick wickets. Karthik, known for his finishing abilities, couldn't do much with the bat. He scored only 11 runs in 7 balls. In the second T20I, it will be the responsibility of an in-form Dinesh Karthik to score maximum runs in the lower order.

Liam Livingstone

England's middle-order batter Liam Livingstone got out without scoring a single rin in the first T20I as he was dismissed for a duck by Hardik Pandya. In the second T20I, the hard-hitting batter will have the responsibility of playing a big innings.
