IND vs BAN 1st Test: Ex-Pakistan captain Salman Butt believes team India's star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant is overweight. Butt came up with this controversial statement while analyzing Rishabh Pant's batting in first innings in the ongoing India vs Bangladesh 1st Test in Chattogram. Butt, on his YouTube channel, said, getting fitter and losing some weight will help Pant play his innovative shots more successfully.

Rishabh Pant's performance in IND vs BAN 1st Test

Team India were struggling in their first innings against Bangladesh after losing captain KL Rahul, stylish Shubman Gill and batting icon Virat Kohli for mere 48 runs on the board when left-handed Rishabh Pant came out to bat at number five. Pant steadied India's sinking ship by taking the attack to Bangladeshi bowlers. He was dismissed for 46 against off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

"Rishabh Pant jaise khelte hai waise hi khele phir ek innovation karne gaye aur ajeeb sa out hua baat ko laga phir bad pe laga and then stumps mein. Main unki fitness pe hamesha baat islie karta hu ki jis tarike ka shots wo create karne ki koshis karte hai, agar wo fit ho toh asaani hogi ye execute karne mein. I think he is overweight. Definitely, he is overweight and because of that, he is not very agile. He is under the level where he should be, in terms of fitness," Butt said while analysing Pant's knock.
