The first day of the Brisbane Test between India and Australia was completely dominated by the host team as Marnus Labuschagne, not only pulled Australia back into the game after facing initial jitters but also scored his first century in the India vs Australia series. Labuschagne is only the second Australian batsman to score a century in the ongoing series.
With the help of Labuschagne's 108-run knock, Australia scored 274 runs after losing 5 wickets by the end of the first day's play. Labuschagne crossed the 100-run mark for the second time on Gabba's ground. With help of today's innings, Labuschagne broke the record of the great Australian batsman Sir Don Bradman.

Labuschagne, who has been continuously scoring for his team since the first Test of India vs Australia series, finally scored a century. Earlier in the Sydney Test, he got dismissed after coming close to a century.
Then he played innings of 91 and 77 runs. Now, taking advantage of the lives or chances he got in Brisbane, Labuschagnecompleted his first century against India. Apart from Labuschagne, no Australian batsman has been able to cross 50 so far.
This is Labuschagne's second Test century at his home ground in Gabba. During his innings, Labuschagne broke Bradman's decade-old record at this ground. In his short career, Labuschagne, who played only his third Test innings in Brisbane, now has registered 374 runs to his name.
With this, Labuschagnebroke Bradman's record of most runs in the first 3 innings in this ground. Bradman had 326 runs in the Gabba ground after his first 3 Test innings. Labuschagne has scored 2 centuries and 1 half-century in 3 innings here and his average is 124.66.

Labuschagne scored his first Test century at Brisbane. He played a tremendous innings of 185 runs against Pakistan in November 2019.
Labuschagne has scored the most 404 runs in this series so far. At the same time, this is only the 18th Test match of his career and in this short career, he has scored 50 or 50-plus runs, 15 times. During this, he has scored 5 centuries and 10 half-centuries. Labuschagne's career best score in Test cricket came a year ago against New Zealand in Sydney, where he scored 215 runs.
