Suryakumar Yadav, popularly known as 'new Mr 360-degree' after South African opener AB de Villiers, made his Test debut in the ongoing India vs Australia Nagpur Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. By the virtue of his debut, Yadav attained a massive milestone as he became the first Indian player to make his debut in all formats after turning 30.

The star batter was preferred over young opener Shubman Gill in India XI and a big innings was expected from him in his dream debut, but he got out after scoring mere 8 runs.






Suryakumar Yadav is in great batting form, consistently scoring runs for India in white-ball format. Fans will hope for Yadav to score runs when he comes out to bat against Australia in the 2nd innings.


Meanwhile, Suryakumar's wife Devisha Yadav has revealed how she used to motivate him before his maiden India call-up.


"I am glad things worked out. It’s so great to see him play in whites. It’s OK that it’s come late when he’s 32. He’s worked hard and it’s paying off," Devisha was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

“I used to ask him if people who began playing after you have gone on to play for India, why aren’t you able to make it? He wouldn’t like it when I said that because it would hurt him. But I wanted us to find out what was missing. It was small things like sleeping on time, having a schedule. I started telling him to follow a routine. You can’t be chilling till late and go for practice in the morning. If you have the talent, why don’t give it the extra push. Then, if it’s meant to happen, it will."
