Bad news is coming from Southampton for the cricket fans who are eagerly waiting for India vs New Zealand ICC World Test Championship Final. The World Test Championship Final which was delayed since 2013 is finally happening in 2021 but under the threat of rainfall. 


It is raining heavily in Southampton ahead of the India vs New Zealand WTC Final 2021. According to reports, the first day of the Test could be washed out due to rain.

Team India's senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin shared a photo from Southampton on his Instagram story, in which it can be seen raining.




Ravindra Jadeja also shared a short video on his Instagram story, in which the ground of the Aegis Bowl is seen covered with covers and it is raining heavily.  According to weather reports, the World Test Championship final is expected to be cool and cloudy, all five days. As spinners, team India management has expressed confidence in the pair of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin for the WTC final.




India's team has announced its playing XI for the Ind vs NZ WTC Final.  Veteran Ishant Sharma's experience has been given priority over Mohammad Siraj's current form, in the team.


India has picked three pacers and two spinners. While the Top 5 remain as expected. The batting order - Rohit Sharma, Shubhman Gill, Virat Kohli, Pujara, Rahane and Rishabh Pant - was more or less, predictable.
