Indian cricket team's star opener Rohit Sharma has posted a picture of India's wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant on Instagram. Rohit Sharma compared Pant to famous Bollywood rapper Badshah. Team India is currently in England for the five-match Test series.
The first Test between India and England will be played from August 4, with not even a week left. Significantly, for the preparations for the Test match, the Indian team also played a practice match against County Select XI in Durham. Rishabh Pant could not take part in this match after testing positive for Coronavirus.
The picture posted by Rohit Sharma on Instagram shows Pant wearing a white T-shirt, silver chain and yellow sunglasses. Posting the photo on Instagram, Rohit wrote in the caption, "We have our own Badshah here."
Pant himself, replying to Rohit's post, wrote, 'Hahaha kya bhaiya yaar.' Cricketer Kedar Jadhav also commented on Pant's photo, 'Mare apne chacha Nehru.'
Earlier this month, Pant had tested positive for the dreaded Coronavirus. After this he went into isolation. Pant has now joined the team in Durham after his two RT-PCR test reports came out negative. Rishabh Pant scored 4 runs in the first innings and 41 runs in the second innings in the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand last month. Team India lost this test by 8 wickets.
Even after players from both England and India tested Covid-19 positive, ECB will not create a strong bio-bubble during the Test series, as per ECB chief executive Tom Harrison. He said that players are tired of bio-bubbles and it is affecting their mental health.
