New Delhi: The International Council of Cricket (ICC) on Wednesday released the T20 rankings before the Super 12 round of the T20 World Cup ends and the first semi-final begins. As per the latest rankings, India captain Virat Kohli has dropped down 4 places, while KL Rahul has jumped three places up after his remarkable brilliant performance in the marquee event.

India's journey in the ongoing T20 World Cup ended in the Super 12 stage itself. Team India played 5 matches in the World Cup during which KL Rahul scored the maximum 194 runs for his team, while Virat scored only 68 runs.

However, one reason behind Virat scoring less runs is that he didn't get many chances to bat as he batted only against Pakistan and New Zealand and in these two games he scored 57 against Pakistan and 9 against New Zealand. Apart from this, the star batter scored 2* against Scotland.

Virat averaged 33 in T20 World Cup 2021. The ICC has released the latest T20 rankings, according to which Pakistan captain Babar Azam has retained the number one position among batters. South Africa's star batter Aiden Markram has also jumped three positions to move to number three.

Talking about the bowlers, Wanindu Hasranga is at number one as before. Australia's Adam Zampa and Jos Hazlewood too have made major gains in the list of bowlers. While Zampa has jumped one place to reach number five, Hazlewood has jumped 11 places to move to number eight. Not a single Indian player's name is included in this list of top 10 players, while the maximum three Australian bowlers are included in this list.
