President Droupadi Murmu showered praise on Novak Djokovic while congratulating him for his record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title at the French Open 2023 in Paris. Moments after the Serb defeated his Norwegian opponent Casper Rudd in straight sets in the final at the Roland Garros on Sunday (June 11), the Indian President took to the official social media handle to congratulate the champion tennis player who now has the most number of major titles by a male player in the history of the sport.
"Congratulations to @DjokerNole for winning the men’s singles final at the French Open that makes him the winner of the largest number of men’s Grand Slam titles in the history of tennis," she tweeted.

He also received congratulatory message from Rafael Nadal who for long held the distinction of being the player with the most number of men's singles titles but Djokovic not only levelled him but has now even surpassed him.
"Many congrats on this amazing achievement @DjokerNole 23 is a number that just a few years back was imposible to think about, and you made it!
Enjoy it with your family and team! 👏🏻," he tweeted.
