Fifth Asian Champions Trophy title for India


India's hockey team triumphed 1-0 over China in Asian Champions Trophy 2024 final, winning the title for record fifth time. After a goalless first three quarters, Jugraj Singh scored the only goal in the fourth quarter, securing the championship for Men in Blue.


After an aggressive start, both teams tightened their defenses, resulting in a goalless stalemate. Jugraj Singh broke the deadlock with a crucial goal in the 51st minute (4th quarter), leading Harmanpreet Singh's India to victory. In their earlier meeting in the tournament’s opening match, India had won 3-0.
