New Delhi: West Indies' star all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite made headlines for his heroics in the 2016 T20 World Cup that was played in India. In the 2016 final, West Indies defeated England by 4 wickets in Kolkata to win the sixth T20 World Cup. This was the second time that the West Indies won the T20 WC title.

Brathwaite, a rookie back then, stuned the entire cricket fraternity as he hit four back-to-back sixes to win the T20 WC final for West Indies. Windies required 19 runs off the final over.

The all-rounder earned 'Remember the name' moment by hammering England's Ben Stokes for 4 sixes in a row to complete the 156-run chase. Brathwaite shot to fame out of nowhere as he had played just 7 T20Is before the WC final.

Thanks to Brathwaite's heroics, West Indies won their 2nd T20 World Cup title. The moment remains one of the most epic moments in the history of T20 cricket.

Meanwhile, Brathwaite took to Instagram to reveal that he named his newborn daughter after Eden Gardens, the venue where West Indies had thumped mighty England to clinch the  2016 T20 World Cup title.

"REMEMBER THE NAME Eden Rose Brathwaite D.O.B 2/6/22 You were worth the wait you gorgeous little girl. Daddy promises to love you with all his heart. Thank you @jessipurple246 You are strong , you are resilient and I know you’ll be an amazing mother Love you both x."

Brathwaite's success saw him being given the T20 captaincy of the West Indies cricket team but his captaincy stint was very short as under his captaincy, Windies lost 19 out of 30 games.
