India’s teenage shooting sensation Manu Bhaker Friday took a dig at Haryana state government and Sports Minister Anil Vij for not fulfilling the promise of Rs 2 crore which was made after she clinched the Gold at the 2018 Youth Olympics.

She took to her Twitter account, asking Vij if the announcement was 'correct or just jumla'.

Retaliating to Bhaker’s tweet, Vij took to his social media account on Saturday and slammed the 16-year-old, stating that Bhaker made a mockery of the state government. He wrote, “It is disgusting to denounce a state govt which is giving the highest awards in the country.”

He stressed on the fact that Bhaker will surely receive the prize money if it has been announced by the Sports Minister himself.

In his next tweet, Vij asserted that the young Indian shooter ‘should feel sorry for creating controversy’ and ‘should focus on her game only’.

Manu Bhaker has received several accolades following her outstanding performance in the shooting range across the world. She won multiple gold medals in her maiden senior World Cup, Commonwealth Games along with the first prize at the Youth Olympics.
