Harbhajan will become the 2nd CSK player after Suresh Raina to pull out if the off-spinner decides against travelling to the UAE which is gearing up to host the tournament in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Harbhajan Singh had also delayed travel to the UAE due to personal reasons even as a batch of his teammates, led by MS Dhoni, arrived in Dubai on August 21.
Harbhajan Singh did not attend the training camp in Chennai between August 15 and 20. While the likes of MS Dhoni, Raina, and Murali Vijay along with other Indian players attended the camp, Ravindra Jadeja skipped it as well but the left-arm spinner joined the batch before they left for the UAE in a chartered plane.
Earlier, CSK's two players Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad - tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, CSK was forced to postpone the start of its training while all the other teams have already hit the nets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The IPL is yet to announce a schedule with a fortnight to go for the opener on September 19, which is expected to be played between the Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.
