New Delhi [India], Feb 9 (ANI): Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Friday said that in order to bring efficiency in sports, a system will be set-up soon to address grievances of players.
Rathore, in a media briefing, said, "It will be a feedback system to bring efficiency in the overall system and we will set up a call centre for that."
"There are nearly 10,000 players who are training in different centres of Sports Authority of India (SAI). It usually happens that there is lack of discipline in centres that are far from the sight of government. We want to end to this problem. We will make minimum 200 calls daily so that we could have direct interaction with these players once in four-five months," he added.
The Sports Minister further informed that the call centre will be set up out of the SAI, so it will be an anonymous system.
He added that when players go for international events and tournaments, a report is prepared by managers about their performance and discipline, so a system for reverse feedback will also be set-up now .
"So a mobile application is being developed by SAI and all the international players will be part of the application. So, there wily the l be an anonymous feedback system which will help us analyse whether management is working as hard as players or not," the 2004 Olympics silver medallist said.
Rathore said that all this will help in maintaining efficiency in sports as every official or coach will be aware of the fact that they are being monitored. (ANI)
