The talks of Sammy being honoured with the honourary Pakistani citizenship have been doing the rounds and it may soon become a reality, as has been suggested by Zalmi owner Javed Afridi. Sammy was also one of the first international stars to speak in favour of cricket being resumed in Pakistan.
While there's no denying the role he has played in the resurrection of cricket in Pakistan, but the tweet he posted on social media raised many doubts in the minds of fans.
"I’ve learned that you are important until you’ve completed your role. #dealingwithhumans," the tweet read. Some also suggested that the Zalmi management isn't happy with Sammy's behaviour.
