Rodri Injury Update: Manchester City's star midfielder Rodri has reportedly landed in Barcelona to undergo further tests after suffering a horrific ACL injury during Manchester City Vs Arsenal fixture in the Premier League on Sunday.

Merely 20 minutes into the game, the Spanish midfielder, who's tipped to win the Ballon d'Or this year, injured his ACL and was substituted for Mateo Kovacic.

The nature of the injury seems pretty bad and with a hectic schedule ahead for Pep Guardiola's side, things are not looking good for the blue side of Manchester, as Rodri can pretty much miss out on the entire 2024/25 season.

What makes this scenario even more important is the fact that Rodri, merely 5 days before the marquee fixture against Arsenal, added the fact that the current schedule is 'too much' for the players, as they have been exposed even more to injuries and fatigue, which is, in short, not good for the health of the players.

Bernardo Silva Criticises Arsenal's Playstyle; Hail Liverpool 'Better'

The Manchester City midfielder criticised Arsenal's defensive playstyle in the 2nd half, as they adapted to 'Park the bus' strategy in-order to script a famous victory, as they were down to 10-man.

"The difference? I don't know. Maybe that Liverpool have already won a Premier League, Arsenal haven't. That Liverpool have won a Champions League, Arsenal haven't. Liverpool always faced us face-to-face to try to win the games. From this perspective, the games against Arsenal haven't been like the ones we had and have against Liverpool," said Bernardo Silva.

"There was only one team that came to play football. The other came to play to the limits of what was possible to do and allowed by the referee. But at the end we got a draw, the best we could get considering the context of the last moments of the match. We're not happy as we wanted the three points, but personally I'm happy with the way we came to play and faced the game," said the Portuguese.

"I'm glad we always enter the pitch to try to win every match. To be honest, I think it's in here, it's the mentality. Arsenal also deserved, they had an unbelievable season, but I think the difference was in here. When they came here, they faced us at the Etihad, I saw them and said, 'Ah, these guys don't want to beat us, they just want a draw'," he added.
