Raheem Sterling's Arsenal Interview: Raheem Sterling's sensational Deadline Day Transfer now sees him switch from 'London Blue' to 'London Red' as he has signed a one-year loan deal with Arsenal. The Chelsea forward was enduring a troublesome time period at Stamford Bridge, and with him switching to Chelsea's fiercest rivals, he now joins the likes of Jorginho, Kai Havertz as the latest 'Gunner' to make a move from the 'Blues'.
Raheem Sterling has been one of the most promising players to ever play for England, but his club career has seen him switch clubs time to time, as he slowly becomes out of favour after a certain time period.
From a young sensation at Liverpool, to enjoying his prime years at Manchester City, to seeking retribution at Chelsea, and now a move to Arsenal sums up his career so far.
Irrespective of that, there is no denying that Raheem Sterling has often stepped up on various occasions, and his addition will only benefit Arsenal, who are, as of late, suffering with a list of injuries to key players. One can watch Sterling in action in Premier League on Star Sports Network who will broadcast the football action in 4K definition for the first time on Indian linear television.
Raheem Sterling's First Interview As Arsenal Player | Full Details
Raheem, welcome to the club. How does it feel to be an Arsenal player?
It's an unbelievable feeling, really exciting. But yeah, now I'm buzzing.
Talk us through your day. It must have been a pretty hectic one for you.
Yeah, it's one where it was kind of left to late. But again, it was one that I was hoping for. You know, I think looking at everything, I'm just like, this is a perfect fit for me. And I'm super happy that we got it over the line.
It's an exciting and dramatic end to the transfer window. Can you tell us a bit about the conversations you've had with our sporting director, Edu?
Yeah, no, I spoke with Edu and I think just, as I said, it's something you can see from the outside. You can see the real togetherness from, you know, Mikel's time here. You can see, you know, the journey that the boys are on and you can see the hunger. And I keep saying again, the togetherness. And it's something that I'm looking to be a part of.
So how excited are you for this next step in your career?
Yeah, really excited again. There's always challenges and this is another challenge. And it's one that, you know, I'm relishing to go and really go out there and do my thing.
You know, you've had a hugely successful career so far. You've won everything you can in the domestic game. Has this move renewed that hunger and determination within you?
Yeah, exactly that. I think, again, I keep saying it's a perfect fit, you know, for myself to be at a football club like this, where you can see that hunger, that desire year on year, that they're pushing and pushing and pushing. And that's exactly how I am as a person. You know, it's each year you want to get better, you want to do better than the previous year. And hopefully, you know, I can gel really well with the boys and get going. And a lot of that success you've had has been under Mikel Arteta, of course.
So how excited are you again to be working for him?
Yeah, no, again, he's a top guy, a top character. And I said I've been watching his journey, of course, because I've spent some time with him at City. And again, to see him come in here and stamp his mark on this amazing football club with, you know, amazing history. It says a lot about him and you can see just what a great job he's doing here.
So finally, it's been a long day, done all the work, all the media work, the medical. You just want to do your talking on the pitch now, don't you?
Literally, yeah. So I think it's that time now to get settled in and, you know, hopefully now seeing some gain time and making my mark there.
